PhD Topic:
Interactivity in experimental fiction, hypertext and online gaming environments.
Supervisors:
Dr. Kaye Mitchell and Dr. Peter Knight
Background:
BA (Hons) English (University of Liverpool)
MA Post-1900 Literature, Theory and Culture (University of Manchester)
Research interests:
My research interests are broadly centred on post 1950s texts, both printed and digital. My research is currently focused on the experimental texts of the 1960s and 70s (including Marc Saporta, Julio Cortázar and B.S. Johnson), digital fictions, and online gaming. I am specifically interested in writing and new technologies, issues of agency, and what it means to be a "reader", or to engage in "reading" in the 21st century.
