Karen Wood: 'Kinesthetic Empathy and the screendance audience'

The session will explore the experience of watching dance on screen.  As Strictly Come Dancing has started again for the 7th series on television, we will question; what is the experience of watching this programme?  What do you experience when watching the programme?  What about when watching other dance on screen?  How does participating affect the viewing experience?  Be prepared to dance and observe!

World AIDS Day: 'Creative Responses'

December 1st is the World AIDS Day and this year’s theme is 'HIV: Reality'. As a response to this, you are invited to participate in an event themed around the role of arts in raising awareness of HIV/AIDS issues. The event will involve a screening of short films from art projects delivered around the world and the creation of our own AIDS Peace tile. The tile will be send to The Global Peace Tile Project (http://peacetiles.mixedmedia.us/) and will be added to their international mural efforts. Finally, you will have the chance to get red ribbons and posters provided by the World AIDS Day organization. Get Involved!
