Welcome to the our place, our stage website!

This website aims to be used as a basis for the our place, our stage project. The project is an exploration of how performance, which includes drama, dance, song, puppets and music, can play a role in sexual and reproductive health education (SRH). our place, our stage is run by Katharine Low and is based in the Centre for Applied Theatre Research, Drama, School of Arts, Histories and Cultures, the University of Manchester.

our place, our stage is researching how performance can increase communication amongst communities and how community-led work can make an impact on halting the spread of HIV/AIDS and other STIs, improve mother and child health and exploring the long term impacts of improved participation by members of the community.

The project is keen to hear from arts-based practitioners who work in the sexual and reproductive health field, participants who have been part of arts-based projects and anyone who is interested in this field.

We are also trying to create a map of all the sexual and reproductive health performance-projects around the world, so if you would like to add your project to this map please fill in this form.

This is a website for your use, so please help us by building up the GAMESPACE by adding games and exercises to it, as well as adding photos, project proposals, evaluations and other resources to the  resource database. You can also share your knowledge about other organisations that you know, post messages and blogs about your practice and generally participate in the debate about this type of practice in the Forum.

Please feel free to contact us about any aspect of the project or if you would like more information.
