Jenn Ashworth's "comic gift" - MA alumna's rave review

Former student Jenn Ashworth's debut novel A Kind of Intimacy received an extremely positive write-up in the review section of The Guardian on Saturday.

Ashworth graduated from the MA Creative Writing in 2006 along with current Centre Writing fellow Chris Killen whose debut novel The Bird Room was published earlier this year and Susie Stubbs current Citylife Manchester Blogger of the Year and a member of our review team.

The novel tells the story of highly strung Annie's increasingly bizarre attempts to ingratiate herself with her new neighbours. Stevie Davies describes Ashworth's humour as 'laugh-out-loud... outrageous and prodigal'.

A Kind of Intimacy is published by Arcadia.
