Amis and Bragg discuss Literature and Suicide

Martin Amis Public Events:  Literature and Suicide with Al Alvarez and Melvyn Bragg

Friday 3rd July, University Place, 6.30pm (event finishes at 7.45pm)

Martin Amis will host the latest in his controversial and popular literary discussions at the University, this time welcoming Al Alvarez and Melvyn Bragg.   Amis's classic 1984 novel, Money, was subtitled 'A suicide note', and it is a subject to which he has periodically returned in his later novels.

This event will see the acclaimed novelist and critic examine ideas and literature relating to the fraught subject of suicide, in discussion with Alvarez and Bragg, writers whose own work have frequently engaged with the subject.

Starting at 6.30pm in University Place on Oxford Road, the event promises to be an interesting discussion and we would advise booking early to avoid disappointment.  We recommend using Quay Tickets dedicated booking service;  To buy online with Quay Tickets click here  or call 0870 428 0785.
