Summer school courses

Students will undertake the following credit-bearing courses:

Each course will be worth ten UK study credits. These usually equate to three US credits, however it is the prerogative of a student's home university to make the appropriate grade transfer so please consult your International Programmes Office.

Students will spend approximately five hours a day in classes or seminars on teaching days, and will be expected to carry out private study during some evenings and free days. The programme also includes several days of excursions.

Students will be required to keep a reading and travel journal throughout the summer school, in which they will record their responses to the places they visit and the literature they read and discuss. Both courses also require a final project which will include a creative and a critical element, and which will be developed in consultation with course tutors.
