MA alumna Susan Barker's second novel, The Orientalist and the Ghost, has been longlisted for the £60,000 Dylan Thomas Prize.
The Orientalist is an epic literary novel following three generations of one family from the chaotic upheaval of post-war Malaysia to Britain in the 1990s.
The shortlist will be publicly announced in September and the winner will be awarded £60,000 at a ceremony to be held in November. You can view the longlist for 2008 Dylan Thomas Prize to find out more.
