SAGE

The SAGE (Skills Awareness in Graduate Education) programme offers the opportunity for Postgraduates to receive training which caters for their individual needs. The SAGE Programme has been designed to ensure that MA and PhD students within the School of Arts, Histories & Cultures receive appropriate and relevant preparation and support throughout their MA or PhD programme.

For MA students, SAGE runs a MA Course. You can find more about the sessions on the SAGE website. None of these sessions are compulsory for MA students in the School of Arts, Histories and Cultures, so feel free to come to as many or as few as you think will be useful to you. SAGE will also run a course called 'Speed Research Design' in January 2010, which will take you through the whole process of developing a research question, carrying out research, reporting your research and having it assessed.

For PhD students, we run (with the School of Language, Literatures and Cultures) a seminar course on Conceptual Skills.  You can find more about the programme and the booking process on the SAGE website.
