2012 President's Doctoral Scholar Awards

The University of Manchester has launched a further £2.5m investment in PhD training with the creation of the President's Doctoral Scholar (PDS) Awards. These awards are open to all nationalities and research areas.

Applications will be ranked according to two key criteria: the candidate’s academic track-record, and the quality of the research proposal.

Fees Bursary

The Centre for Museology and Centre for Arts Management will have jointly one PhD/Professional Doctorate fee bursary (or two part-time). The bursary is set at the level of Home/EU Fees for the relevant programme. Please note that for Overseas students, any fees bursary awarded would reduce the tuition fee payable by the amount of the Home/EU fees. The awards are for three years full time or six years part time (subject to satisfactory progress) for new starters, reduced pro rata for existing students.
