The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC)
The AHRC is the main source of government funding for home and EU postgraduate students. Well qualified students from outside the EU can apply for Overseas Research Studentships. University of Manchester awards are also available for students who are also applying to the AHRC. Further details of AHRC grants can be obtained from their website.
Lynne Grundy Memorial Trust Award
The trust commemorates the life and work of Lynne Grundy, Researcher and Lecturer at the University of London from 1988 to 1997, by the annual award of a grant (up to £500) to a scholar or student in the disciplines of Old English / Anglo-Saxon or Humanities Computing (who does not already have a permanent full-time academic post or adequate funding) for the furtherance of these studies, and to contribute towards knowledge in these disciplines.
