Content: The ESRC Centre for Research on Socio-Cultural Change (CRESC) and the Institute for Cultural Practices at the University of Manchester are jointly hosting an engagement seminar on the DCMS Culture and Sport Evidence (CASE) research programme and its outputs. This seminar will feature Harman Sagger, Economic Advisor to DCMS who will present a new policy model for the cultural agencies developed by the University of London's Evidence in Policy and Practice Information (EPPI) Centre and Matrix Knowledge Group, and discuss other CASE Programme activities, including work around Subjective Well-being models for understanding the economic impact of policy interventions. Academic and sector respondents are invited to prompt wider discussion among seminar participants and consider the implications of CASE for planning, research, impact assessment and evaluation of arts and cultural policies and programmes both nationally and more particularly in the regions.
