About CIDRA

The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in the Arts (CIDRA) was established in May 2005, in the School of Arts, Histories, and Cultures (SAHC).

Manchester is a major centre for research in the Arts and Humanities, with Arts research and practice pursued in numerous galleries, museums, libraries and archives and performance venues. The purpose of CIDRA is to foster, develop, and promote high-quality interdisciplinary research and postgraduate teaching in Arts subjects, with special reference to work originating in one or more of the subject areas currently constituting the SAHC.
